Although I have done my best in studying what God’s Word says about this topic and researching what other godly teachers have written about it through the ages, I cannot say that my interpretation is, without any doubt, correct in every detail, so, if you differ from me, so be it and be blessed.
As I see prophecy, it is given that those living before the time will at least have an idea of what God is planning to do and will have a wonderful prospect to look forward to. Secondly it is given to those that will be living at the time of its fulfillment for them to recognize occurrences as an act, or warning of, God and will know how to respond to it.
We must also keep in mind that prophecies are God’s thoughts and plans and that they are infinitely higher that ours, as much as the heavens are above the earth (Isa 55:9). For instance: the prophecies of Christ’s first coming to earth were prophesied by many prophets, yet when He came, most believers did not recognize Him as the Messiah and those who did, did not understand the full purpose of His mission, perhaps because the Holy Spirit had not yet been given to mankind in full measure.
Much of what is contained in end times prophecy is more specifically intended for them that will be living at that time, the time of its fulfillment, and the Holy Spirit will help them understand it so that they will benefit thereby.
As for us, let us praise the Lord for revealing that He knows exactly where He is heading. He knows every step of the way and all is going to end well. Our part is not to know it all, but to do it all: to do that which we do know and to rejoice in Him day by day.
WHAT IS THE MAIN MESSAGE OF REVELATION:
THAT JESUS IS THE VICTOR
AND IN HIM,
SO IS EVERY SAINT!
HALLELUJAH!
